What is ECU remapping?
ECU remapping is where we fine tune the software program that controls your engine management system. At AHM we use maps developed by some of the best developers in the country including AHM and Celtic Tuning amongst others. As well as producing greater power and torque we can also deal with driveability problems at lower rev ranges such as flat spots and hesitation issues giving the engine more initial torque making a more responsive and enjoyable drive.
So why do I need to remap my ECU?
When vehicles are distributed throughout the world, manufacturers adopt a one map fits all policy. This one map has to take into account many different factors that are necessary for each export country. Areas such as climate, emissions regulations, fuel quality etc… all have to be considered by the manufacturer. What this means is that a vehicle ECU is never optimised for one individual situation.

AHM CAN REMAP MOST ALFA ROMEOS PLEASE CALL IF YOU CANT SEE YOURS
* many standard cars, when first tested on our rolling road, produce more power than that quoted by the manufacturer. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1750 TBi Cloverleaf has a quoted standard BHP figure of 235. When tested by us we have seen figures of 260 BHP for unmodified cars. Following this we re-checked our rolling road and are confident that these results are accurate.
Please note that all quoted power increases are for indication only.
Every vehicle WILL be different and AHM cannot and will not be held responsible if your vehicle does not reach the stated power. In many cases you will see more than stated!
